Withdrawal from the Studio program

Billing changes for the following month must be received by the first of the prior month. For example, any changes for April billing must be received by March 1st.

Written notice should be emailed to Rashawn Vassell at studio@goodwinmagnetsystem.org. 

Please Note:  If written notice is not given to the school without proper notice, parents/caregivers will be responsible to pay the Studio tuition for the month they withdrew.

Changes to Your Studio Program Plan

If a family needs to adjust their plan (from full week to Friday or vice versa) advanced notice is required. Changes to billing will occur for the following month.  No refunds will be given for the current month. If changes were not made with enough advanced notice, families may be responsible for any charges. Billing changes for the following month must be received by the first of the prior month. For example, any changes for April billing must be received by March 1st.

Enrollment in Studio for the following school year will begin in May of the previous year. Enrollment is on a first come, first-served basis, with currently enrolled families who are in good financial standing receiving priority.

In case of an emergency, it is very important to keep your contact information updated with RMS. Once you are aware of a change, contact our school at 860-709-6800 or Rashawn Vassell at studio@goodwinmagnetsystem.org to make changes without delay.

Students will be released only to adults over the age of 18 who are listed on the student’s contact/pick-up list. To ensure every student’s safety, a photo ID/Passport is required for verification during pick-up. Other types of verification include a phone call to the parent if pick-up arrangements have not confirmed by our staff.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to provide only healthy snacks for students to enjoy during their time in the studio program. All children are eligible to receive a free snack provided by the Studio program. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis.

First, we would like to take the time out to say that we value your role in our school community. The roles of families are important to us, and we would like to welcome you to come in to volunteer during studio. There are a variety of ways you can volunteer.

Some ideas are:

• Offer to read a story to your child’s pod. The children love to have new readers visit!
• Volunteer in the pod. There are a variety of experiences planned each day (cooking, art, music, etc.). The children in the pod will enjoy having another person come in to play and explore with. This also lets you see first-hand what your child does each day.

We all live very busy lives and we value your time. If you are unable to come in during Studio, we understand. Here are some other ways you can be involved.

• Donate recyclables on an as needed basis to the pod (paper, tissue boxes, old cardboard, newspapers, etc.). These materials can be used in a variety of interest areas like art and sensory. Please look out for sign-up sheets; they will be located on the sign-out sheet.
• Share family traditions with your child’s pod. A few ideas for you to share are cooking recipes, pictures, books, etc.
