Pathways

The 4 Pathways of Goodwin University Magnet School System

At the heart of our Pre-K to 12th grade program is our intentional design that centers on using strategies to help our scholars discover who they are and develop their skills and knowledge in a logical progression towards adulthood. Our Pre-K-5 program focuses on exposure to our pathways, so that our youngest scholars can see themselves successfully in local careers while also having the freedom to experiment with different subjects. In grades 6-8, scholars are provided with many diverse opportunities to explore each pathway within the context of their core and special interest classes. In grades 9-12, we provide concrete experiences for scholars through our pathway specific courses.

Exposure at Riverside Magnet School

Beginning in elementary school, our scholars are exposed to a wide range of subjects in relation to the Goodwin University Magnet School System Pathways, which include Business and Administration; Computer Science; Health Science and Nursing; and Manufacturing and Engineering. Scholars are encouraged to engage in investigations and to ask questions about these and other subjects.
