

Tim Pivirotto, Director
A seasoned educator and instructional leader, Tim Pivirotto brings a deep commitment to inclusive school culture, academic excellence, and whole-child development to his role as Director of Riverside Magnet School. He previously served as the Assistant Director at Connecticut River Academy Middle Level Program where he played a pivotal role in strengthening school culture, improving student outcomes, and implementing restorative practices. His leadership has helped create learning environments where students feel supported, empowered, and ready to thrive.
A passionate advocate for literacy, Mr. Pivirotto believes that strong foundational skills are the gateway to student success. His leadership philosophy centers on the belief that every child can excel, and he is dedicated to cultivating a school culture defined by equity, access, growth, leadership, and excellence. Mr. Pivirotto holds an Education Leadership Certificate and a Master of Teaching from Sacred Heart University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from High Point University.

Jennifer Sullivan, Assistant Director
Jennifer Sullivan brings a strong record of equity-driven leadership to her role as Assistant Director of Riverside Magnet School. Previously serving as Riverside’s Pre K–5 Intervention Coordinator and School Climate Specialist, she has led restorative practice implementation, strengthened MTSS systems, and supported staff in delivering targeted, data-driven instruction.
Her career spans roles as paraeducator, interventionist, special education teacher, and SRBI coordinator—giving her a comprehensive understanding of student and educator needs. She holds advanced credentials from Quinnipiac University and Central Connecticut State University.
